Solo doesn't mean shortcut.
One person thinks the whole system through — design, product, code, deployment, ops — and owns the outcome. Fewer handoffs, tighter decisions, faster ships. — Operating principle
-
Ship weekly, not quarterly. A working slice in production by week two, not a gold-plated plan by week twelve. You watch the product grow, not a Gantt chart.
-
Security & observability from day one. Auth, payments, monitoring, DB rules, backups — no half-products. A production incident shouldn't be a surprise.
-
Shipped with docs. Pickup-able without me. README, .env.example, architecture notes, runbook. A good freelance project should be pick-up-able by the next person without asking me anything.
-
Listen first, then build. Solo or embedded. The roadmap comes from the field — user feedback, weekly call with you, iterations on what we actually observe. Autonomous on small missions, embedded in your team on bigger ones — you pick the mode per project.
From founder call to app in stores — in 8 weeks.
-
Discovery call
We scope the real problem. I ask, you answer honestly. You leave with clarity — not a sales pitch.
-
Scoped proposal
Frozen scope, fixed price for Phase 1, committed deadline. You sign, or not — no pressure, no trap clauses.
-
Build
Friday demo every week. You see the product grow, you redirect priorities in writing. Zero tunnel effect, zero end-of-mission surprise.
-
Hand-off
Full documentation, runbook, architecture notes, all credentials handed over. 30 days of post-launch support included. Your team takes over, I step out.
The #1 objection: "what if he disappears?"
Here's how I neutralise that risk on every mission — whether I'm operating solo or embedded in your team.
Weekly written demo, versioned progress notes. Zero surprise. You redirect priorities in writing — fully traceable.
No lock-in on tooling or infra. Your stack, your credentials, your GitHub. You can migrate or swap devs tomorrow morning.
Every project ships with:
- README + .env.example
- Obsidian vault — architecture, screen specs, catalogues
- Runbook — deploy, restore, rollback
- Access-transfer checklist (GCP, Stripe, Firebase, GitHub)
Paris-based. Trained at 42.
I'm Augustin — a full-stack developer working out of Paris. I build mobile apps and web products end-to-end, solo or embedded in a team — whichever serves the project.
I trained at École 42 Paris — two years of peer-reviewed C, C++, systems, networking and a full-stack capstone (ft_transcendence). Since then I've been operating as a freelance builder: mobile apps in Flutter, web platforms in TypeScript / Next.js, Cloud Functions on Firebase, payments through Stripe.
The through-line across the projects I enjoy most is the same: one operator, small surface area, real users, shipped. If that sounds like what you need — let's talk.
Have a mission? Let's talk.
